The Sims 2: Seasons to play hit songs in Simlish
Shmeno-shmena! We hope to have gotten that greeting right in Simlish, the native language of The Sims. Apart from TV ads and conversations to be heard in Simlish in-game, players can now even hear in-game some real-life hit songs rendered in Simlish by their real-life singers.
The soundtrack of The Sims 2: Seasons include reinterpreted hits from Lily Allen, The Veronicas and The String Cheese Incident. Lily Allen, who sang Smile, one of the songs to be heard in the game, said,
Recording ‘SMILE’ was a great experience for me. Sometimes revenge can be fun. But getting to sing it again—IN SIMLISH—came very naturally and it was hilarious to practice! The silly language and whimsy of The Sims games are a perfect fit for the song. I was laughing the entire time!
