The Sims: Life Stories art London exhibit
Being a girl gamer, the author is predictably a regular The Sims nut. Yes, this gamer’s one of those that keep wondering whether or not she’s the one controlling her sims or if it’s the other way around. The release of the latest The Sims title – The Sims: Life Stories, has left me scrambling to finish all of my real life duties to finally bury myself into The Sims life, which I haven’t done yet…argh!
Anyway, an art exhibit by The Sims maker Electronic Arts, celebrating the release of The Sims: Life Stories must be an interesting event for those of you who are like me, and for those of you who live in the UK. For two weeks, an art exhibit showcasing the life of Riley Harlow, a pre-made The Sims: Life Stories character, will be held at Proud Galleries in London, exhibiting featured art work from legendary magazines like Romeo, Jackie, Blue Jeans and Patches.
The purpose of the event is to showcase the advice, the fashion, the people and the issues faced by teenagers throughout the decades. It aims to give an insight into a wider social awareness around identity, image, aspirations and social constructs as teen life has grown. If you ask me, though, such an exhibit will only make me want to play The Sims: Life Stories even more!
This admission-free event is happening from March 1 to March 14 this year. The star of the exhibit is, of course, Riley Harlow herself, and she’ll be moving all throughout the five phases of the exhibition’s themes: Friendship, Love, Appearance/Fashion, School to Jobs and Family.
Don’t you want to recreate your own The Sims: Life Storiesexhibit in your laptop already?
