We’ve got some more fresh new details for another much-awaited title, this time from DC Projekt Red. The devs dropped us not only details, but also a new video for its fantasy RPG game, The Witcher II.
Here’s what you have to know about the game. CD Projekt Red is promising that it will in fact be an “epic, intesnse, emotionally charged adventure”, courtesy of not just one, not two, but three independent plots, set to provide you “several alternative events”.
Bound to stir up some controversy is the fact that their lauding sex and eroticism as key elements to the game. But don’t worry, they say it’ll be “introduced in a much more realistic, involving and mature way, thanks to which sexual relationships are presented more credibly than in TW1.”
But let’s get on to gameplay details. One thing they’re reassuring us is that there will be “no FedEx missions”, or those missions that require you to jump from one point to another picking up and delivering packages. Instead, they made it more story-connected, and also features “extensive non-linearity within advanced gameplay mechanics”.
Simply put, they’re telling us that The Witcher II will simply be the “best-looking RPG to date.”
We’ll see about that once it comes out on Q1 2011. In the meantime, we can see this video, including a five-minute dev diary.
