CD Projekt RED has revealed that they are still considering reviving the cancelled console port of The Witcher.
“It definitely is considered. No particular plans though,” said The Witcher 2 senior producer Tomak Gop in an interview with VG247. “The project is frozen – lies on a shelf awaiting the right moment. The only thing I could state for sure is that we’d love to pick this project up again.”
The Witcher‘s console port, Rise of the White Wolf, was confirmed as shelved almost a year ago. A few months later, CD Projekt RED expressed their intention to bring the sequel to consoles in collaboration with Metropolis Software, but gamers may not want to expect too much too early.
“Nothing has been promised yet,” said Gop. “Nothing has been shown yet. But everything is kept well secret and planned for.”
