The world’s coolest trailer, remastered: Metal Gear Solid 4

War, and its vast consumption of human life, has become a rational, well-oiled business transaction.

Perhaps there’s a bit of an exaggeration here, but if there was an academy award for video trailers, you know that the original Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer would have taken home some gold, not only for interspersing political messages into games, but also for looking way cool. Recently uncovered by news sites, however, is the return of Konami‘s MGS4 trailer, now longer, better, and remastered using the latest version of the game’s engine.

All of the old staples are here, from Snake to Otacon, with better animation, lighting and particle effects. More importantly, this remastered version of the trailer also adds a date you’re all going to like: a confirmation of a 2007 release date.

Oh, and there’s also a fight scene with good old Raiden in his ninja suit. In any case, don’t miss out. Watch the video below. Enjoy!
