The Xbox 360 Spring Dashboard Update Now Available
It’s supposed to be the day of the devil – 06/06/06. However, Microsoft has decided to be an angel. As announced, the Xbox 360 Spring Dashboard Update is now available. With all the news on this latest dashboard update, you may already know what to expect. Otherwise, the major changes are as follows:
Its is now easier to sort through the offerings available in the Xbox Live Marketplace. A “New Media and Entertainment” menu have been added to these categories:
=>New Releases
=>All Media and Entertainment
=>Movie Trailers and Short Films
=>Television, Music, Sports and More
=>Gaming Community Videos
=>Game Tips and Support Videos
=>Optional iPod Support
- Background Downloading
Download games in the background while playing retail games or going through the full Xbox experience with Active Download. Queue up to six downloads and see where everything stands with the background Download Manager.
- Gamer Pictures
Let the people in your Friends list see your custom gamer picture while the rest of the world see one of the gamer pics Microsoft has made available for you.
- Start-up method
- Choose your own start-up method. You are now provided an option that will let you boot up straight to the Dashboard instead of starting with the CD/CVC/game in your console’s tray.
- Music Media Player
You can now see the track you are listening as music player will now display it on the list. A progress bar will be shown as well.
- Fast Forward and Reverse on movies
- Enhanced photo viewing
- Friends Status Update
