THQ reports revenue growth for 12th straight year
Continuing its 11-year streak of revenue growth, THQ has reported a record of more than US$ 1 billion in net sales in its latest annual report released yesterday on the company’s official website.
The company’s net sales have gone up by 27 per cent from last year, making this its 12th consecutive year of revenue growth. Net income for THQ also doubled from US$ 32 million last year to US$ 68 billion this year.
For fiscal year 2008, THQ plans to increase revenues generated by owned IP from 20 per cent to 33 per cent. The company also expects that 40 to 50 per cent of its overall revenues next year will be from titles released for next gen consoles.
THQ currently has Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights and Frontlines: Fuel of War, among others, scheduled for release in fiscal year 2008. A multi-platform sequel has also been announced for the XBox 360 title Saints Row. You can check out the report itself by clicking on the Read link below.
