THQ has announced that it will be releasing a new Nintendo Wii exclusive video game called Deadly Creatures. The game is being developed internally by the company’s Rainbow Studios which brought us hits like MX vs. ATV Untamed (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS).
This title puts an interesting twist on the survival horror genre, casting players in the shoes of either an armored scorpion or stealthy tarantuala as it tries to survive in a desert. Rainbow Studios’ executive producer and general manager Nick Wlodyka, spoke a few words about the game:
Deadly Creatures is a creepy, cinematic thrill ride, where the distinction between predator and prey can shift around every corner. With brutal motion-controlled combat, a dark, compelling story and some of the best visuals to date on the Wii, we are excited to bring Deadly Creatures to a large core Wii audience that hungers for a new experience.
Gamers won’t have to wait very long to get their hands on this game, since it is expected to be arriving within the year. Personally, it would have been cooler if the developers also decided to add in a few other playable characters such as a mosquito.
