Threading through Clive Barker’s Jericho scans
We’re probably just as much in the dark as you guys are about Clive Barker’s Jericho (PS3, 360, PC). Theoretically speaking though, we should be in the dark. That’s where all the action is, ninny. Here we have these scans from the latest issue of EGM. The game is looking mighty fantastic, no doubt about that. But aside from the screenshots, you might want to check out the text.
They’ve given the background story – which we’ve already heard before. But more than this, a few gameplay elements are revealed. If you wanna strain your eyes (sorry the scan quality is quite low), you can click the images to see for yourselves. However, to save yourself (and your eyes) the hassle, what you do have to know is that you will be able to control various characters in the Jericho squad.
There will be points in the game where you’d be able to “switch” over to another character – sometimes triggered by the story, sometimes not (you’ll sometimes be able to switch at will). Each of the characters (seven in the squad, introduced on the top right of the last page) will have their own unique trait, specialty, or skill. You’d even be able to combine their abilities by a gameplay element called “Threading”.
There’s a catch to this switching thing though, but that could eventually serve as a spoiler. If you want to find out, just click the images above.
