Three More DS Games Coming Under the Touch Generations Label

labelNintendo is all set to expand the video game territory. As we mentioned before, the said company is targetting casual gamers and beginners with their new line of games branded under the Touch Generations label.

“We remain committed to turning video games into an inclusive mass medium that everyone can enjoy,” says George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. “Touch Generations will help novices and newcomers identify the fun and uniquely engaging experiences that are available only on Nintendo DS.”

There are already four titles released under this series:

  • Brain Age (released April 17) Sold more than 5M copies, most of which were purchased by older people who never had a video game experience before Brain Age.
  • Nintendogs (22 August 2005) Who doesn’t know about this hugely-popular simulation game? Nintendogs let players take care of puppies and teach them commands through the microphone.
  • Tetris DS (March 20) One of the most popular puzzle games of all time is now on DS.
  • True Swing Golf (January 23) A game where players strike the ball and send it flying by simply sliding the stylus across the touch screen.

These titles have received positive reviews from the gaming media. And to encourage more and more people to take interest in video games, Nintendo is coming up with these three more Touch Generations titles this June:

  • magneticaBig Brain Academy (coming on June 5) Test your brain in thinking, memorization, computation, analysis, and identification in this second brain-training Nintendo offering.
  • Magnetica (also launching on June 5) A simple puzzle challenge game that challenges players to connect and eliminate like-colored marbles before reaching the goal.
  • Sudoku Gridmaster (June 26) Features more than 400 Sudoku puzzles hand-picked by the original creators of the popular puzzle grid features.

If you’ve been wanting to try out video games and are a bit apprehensive about picking up those action games, then maybe these upcoming Touch Generations games are the best way to start your gaming life.
