Three Speech at 3Rooms

3 Speech still pimpingWhat’s with three anyway? Yeah, we know, PS3, but they’re overdoing it. At least all those Wii-puns are cute or annoying enough to irritate your friends with. Anyway, on to the news.

Steve Boxer has a post up over at Three Speech detailing the Three Speech event that took over Sony‘s 3Rooms PS3 demo in London‘s Shoreditch. Most of the post details the multimedia functions that all you folks, our readership, are probably aware of already. The post does offer a nice promise though: a remote PSP to PS3 connection.

Here’s Steve Boxer’s words:

Sony confirmed that, at some point in the future, it will be possible to access the PS3 from your PSP remotely (that is, beyond WiFi range), so if, say, youÂ’re overseas, youÂ’ll still be able to download all the multimedia content on your home PS3 to your PSP.

That’s the hottest part about the three speech’s post. If we talk anymore about Three Speech itself, it’ll be flame bait. Yeah, Three Speech is still pimping.

(Now this last paragraph isn’t really flame bait. It will only be “anti-sony” if you’ve got you’re fan-boy goggles on.) With all this push for the PS3 to be the home-entertainment solution for your living room, one just has to hope that Kutaragi’s PSX-ish device better be something that isn’t mass-produced. We’re hoping that the uber expensive AV-centric PS3 be something like a custom luxury sports car for gamers with money to burn.
