Tickle-me-Game Video Commercials – because QJ has a funny bone (maybe)
It’s April Fools’, and since the Internet has basically killed the April Fools’ prank, we’ll just post a whole truckload of our favorite video game commercials, so you’d all have something to laugh. Just in case you’re sick of fake news or something like that.
First up are three videos that QJ blogger Ian C, can’t stop playing while he’s working on his posts. Honestly, if YouTube didn’t exist, Ian’s articles would have less grammatical errors and would make more sense most of the time. Who says the Japanese have a monopoly on the cheesy humor? The avid Command & Conquer nut that he is, Chris L. found this ancient ad for the first Command & Conquer: Red Alert that aired on MTV. Oh yes, those tense race to spam tanks. Them sneaky engineer rushes. That B-movie acting. “YOU HAVE MISCALCULATED!!!”
Man, the guy who played Josef Stalin in the game was quite the character, too. “You disappoint me, Gradenko…” laments he as he breaks one of his lieutenants’ neck. Man, today’s A-list Hollywood stars just can’t make that kind of cut anymore.
When asked about the following Prince of Persiacommercial, all Gino D. could give was a resounding: “Geekery is love.” Umm, right. As if that explained everything. Watching the video though, it sure does. Geekery *is* love.
