Tingle to join Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

Tingle - Image 1JeuxFrance reports that Japanese gaming magazine GameLab has spun word that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be welcoming a new character in their lineup by the persona of Tingle.

To those of you who have no clue as to who this Tingle character is, he first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. He’s a 35-year old man absolutely obsessed with forest fairies and loves dressing up in a green costume, similar to Link’s. Yeah, he’s quite an oddball in that sense. But he’s pretty popular in Japan, and even has his own video games: Mogitate Chinkuru no Barairo Ruppi Rando and Tingle’s Balloon Fight, both for the Nintendo DS.

Anyhow, this hasn’t been confirmed by Nintendo yet, so we’re keeping this as a rumor for now. But that’s not all the rumor that’s being spread by GameLab. According to them still, there will be two versions of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one for the Wii, and the other for the GameCube. And then there’s some more. The buzz is particularly strong for this one as it concerns the launch of the official site in less than a week. Assumed to be revealed at the same time is the release date for Brawl.

Whew, well that was quite a bunch of rumors to keep track of. Don’t worry, we’re right on it.
