Tom Brady named as Backyard Football ’08 cover athlete

New England Patriots all-star quarterback and two-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady has been tapped by Humongous, Inc. to be the cover athlete for Backyard Football ’08, the latest iteration for the popular kid’s football game franchise.

“Working with kids is always great and representing Backyard Football is a fantastic way to introduce the fun of the game to the next generation of fans,” said Brady. “I especially like seeing myself and other pro players as kids in the game-it’s really funny and brings back great memories of playing football as a child.”

Brady has made a name for himself in the NFL by being the youngest starting quarterback ever to win the Super Bowl in the Patriots’ upset victory over the St. Louis Rams in Brady’s second year in the league. Brady has also led the Patriots to three Super Bowl victories.

Backyard Football ’08 is currently slated for a September release on the PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii.
