Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 expansion to roll out next month
For those of us currently enjoying sweet tactical FPS action with Ubisoft‘s Tom Clancy‘s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PSP), here’s some very good news, particularly for those playing the game on their Microsoft Xbox 360s: there’s a huge expansion for the game in the pipeline, and it’s rolling out as a downloadable on Xbox LIVE next month. Sweet!
So what sort of tactical-shooter goodness does this blessing from the developer team yield? Why, a ton of spanking new content, that’s what! Not only do we get five new campaign missions that continue the game’s storyline, but also nine additional multiplayer maps – seven remakes of classic Ghost Recon maps from ages long past, and two originals. The remakes are as follows: Caves, Railroad Bridge, Battlefield, Plantation, Swamp Airfield, Prison, and Castle, and the original ones being Business Park and Rooftop.
There’s also the sweet bonus of 125 gamerpoints’ worth of new achievements to top things off, for the elite who make it a point to squeeze out every bit of replay value from our games. Definitely a great package indeed.
Of course, there’s no word yet on just how much this expansion pack will cost, so here’s hoping for something affordable. After all, with a lot of new releases coming out for the holiday season, it helps that a downloadable pack like this is not only content-rich, but also affordable. Updates about Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 as we get them!
