Tomb Raider: Underworld – raiding in the rain

It’s a whole new adventure for Lara Croft in Tomb Raider: Underworld. Although the game’s release date was moved back to late this year, this new batch of screenshots are looking so gorgeous we’re willing to sit and wait so the guys at SCi can make sure the game’s perfect. Lara Croft’s new adventure, Tomb Raider: Underworld, is looking as gorgeous as its heroine. Featuring improved lighting, mechanics and motion-captured animation, Tomb Raider Underworld promises to be the best Lara Croft game to date.

The game’s been delayed until late this year, but if it means a better game then it’s fine with us. Tomb Raider: Underworld is expected to hit the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, tWii, and the Nintendo DS.

In this latest batch of screenshots we find Lara in the now-familiar Mayan ruins shown in previous screens. The effects of the rain and water is just amazing. Check them out:
