Tomb Raider: Undeworld PS3 takes more than half of the sales pie
Tomb Raider: Undeworld (PS 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS) from Eidos has launched just last week. So what do the numbers show? Did it beat out the release of last year’s iteration, Tomb Raider: Anniversary? Which game version sold more? Find out the answers after the jump.
UK Chart Track has released another batch of statistics with this one revealing that the latest iteration of the Tomb Raider franchise, Tomb Raider: Underworld sold the biggest number of units on the PlayStation 3 console.
According to the data gathered, a whopping 51% of all Underworld sales were for the PS3, while 34% accounted for the Xbox 360 sales. The remaining piece of the pie was divided among the Wii, PC, and DS versions.
It seems like even without the two exclusive digital episodes granted to the Xbox 360, the PS3 version can more than hold its own. Also, Underworld beat out the first week performance of last year’s Tomb Raider: Anniversary by only 6,700 units.
