The virtual gift program for Animal Crossing: Wild World at Toys ‘R’ Us has ran into a few kinks. DS Fanboy reports that one of their readers, Charlie Staats, received an unexpected surprise after completing all the steps to get his free gift. Instead of finding one of the cool items advertised, he got a Bottle Mail sans the item.
A disgruntled Charlie quickly went up to a Toys ‘R’ Us employee and asked him about the strange happenings. The employee could do nothing but tell him that he was not alone as another store in the area was having the same strange problem.
So, beware Toys ‘R’ Us goers! You may not get the special item you were hoping for. It seems like everytime Nintendo tries to offer free items in Animal Crossing, there ends up being an unfriendly glitch. Who could forget the red tulip incident?
