Tragnarion Studios casts a spell with Doodle Hex for the Nintendo DS
Tragnarion Studios is out to make some magic with its new game coming out exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Doodle Hex. Despite the massive flood of witches and warlocks lately, Doodle Hex seems to offer a unique style of magical gaming for both the single and multiplayer modes of the game.
Playing on the concept of “runes,” the Doodlers (nominative term for the spell-casting characters in the game) fight by drawing magical symbols onto the DS touch screen to create fun and powerful spells. Each rune have various effects which range from anything such as blasts of flame to hurt your opponent, curses which shake their screen, or even turn back their own spells on them.
As duels are played in real time, it’s pretty obvious that players have to be quick with their stylus hand if they want to excel in this game. With over 200 different types of runes, players are given quite a challenge collecting and mastering all runes onto their customizable spell books.
Tragnarion Studios Head Carl Jones commented, “Like classic fighting and puzzle games, Doodle Hex offers a rewarding single player experience and the fun increases massively when dueling against other people. We’re delighted with how Doodle Hex is coming together”.
Doodle Hex is slated to come out during the next quarter of next year. For a sneak peek at their teaser site, click on the read link below for more details.
