After nearly 30 years worth of rich history packed into it, the Gundam universe is a virtual treasure trove of spin-offs and popular merchandise. The latest addition to the Gundam video game franchise takes the form of Namco Bandai‘s Mobile Suit Gundam: Giren no Yabou – Axis no Kyoui for the PlayStation Portable.

Namco Bandai has put up two new trailer videos for the game showing off the game’s many features and the well-loved characters fans of the series will be sure to encounter in this classic turn-based strategy game.

Spanning through the early years of the Universal Century arc of the Gundam Series, Mobile Suit Gundam: Giren no Yabou – Axis no Kyoui takes players through a guided tour of some of the most memorable events in the series. The game features animated clips from the anime as well as over 400 mecha from the series.

Around the end of the first video, you can catch some the additional merchandise that goes with the game such as a DVD containing some movie and sound clips of some of the memorable scenes in the Gundam series.
