Travellers Tales and LucasArts reveal Lego Indiana Jones fact sheet
Who would’ve thought that you could play Frankenstein in LucasArts‘ Lego Indiana Jones: The Video Game? We’re not speaking literally, of course. And yet, there is a way for you to jury-rig a new character using parts from different Lego characters in the game. More details on this in the full article, right after the jump.
By now, you probably already know that Traveller’s Tales and LucasArts‘ Lego Indiana Jones: The Video Game (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PSP) spans the three classic movies.
But did you know that the game allows you to do something that was never seen in the films? That thing is the ability to customize a completely new character using parts from the sixty playable characters in the game.
And that’s not all. According to Traveller’s Tales and LucasArts’ fact sheet, Lego Indiana Jones players may also do the following:
- Use Indy’s whip as a weapon and as a multi-purpose adventuring tool for activating levers, swinging across gaps and what not.
- Have the Lego Indiana Jones characters swim, climb, carry stuff, shimmy across ledges and interact with the environment in other ways.
- Use a variety of weapons from the environment to fight enemies (i.e. chairs, bottles, guns, swords, etc.).
- Play as famous Indiana Jones supporting characters (including villains) such as Short Round, Marcus Brody, Mola Ram and more.
- Use special, character-specific techniques such as Marion’s monkey access and Marcus Brody’s umbrella slide.
- Solve puzzles that encourage exploration, creative thinking, teamwork and building.
- Participate in cooperative gameplay with friends and family.
Traveller’s Tales and LucasArts have scheduled Lego Indiana Jones: The Video Game for release on June 6, 2008.
