Truth behind the PSM3 and PS3 meeting
Yesterday, we were lucky enough to still catch the short video of the PlayStation 3 in action uploaded by PSM3 UK. But since the video has already been taken down and you still have a lot of questions in mind, these latest clarifications and updates should keep the hungry, curious monster in your heads at bay.
Before anything else, PSM3 UK regretfully announces that the console wasn’t given to them. After just a few hours, Sony HQ asked for their precious back. However they are happy to share that they were able to glimpse the finished menu and it is looking sweet. Also, it’s a shame to call the start-up noise that, as it is more like the sound of an orchestra tuning up.
The PS3 was attached to an off the shelf UK Samsung 32″ monitor which handles a 720p image. This doesn not mean, take note, that PS3 can’t do 1080p. They are just saying that they used a 720p TV and as it is, the games looked superb, pin-sharped and brilliant. The full version of MotorStorm and Resistance were the games tried.
The PS3 was quite heavy, PSM3 UK shares. But according to them, that’s because power supply is built into the machine. On the other hand, the X360 comes with a power brick. PS3 versus X360 w/ external power supply…You do the math. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to play any PS2, PS1 games and didn’t attempt to go online either. The LINUX-running capability of the console was also not clarified.
That’s all PSM3 UK has got share and the few images. This last picture is that of the network port with a green light. Hmm, green usually means okay right? We all hope so.
