TTR v0.9: Now with Mario Kart characters!

TTR v0.9 - Image 1TTR v0.9 - Image 2

Freshmilk from our forums has been hard at work for a while now on TTRR v0.9, his festive treat for the homebrew community. Here’s a little history lesson: TTR started off as Table Top Rally v0.1 all the way back in July and was a simple car-dodging game. Over time, the TTR family has grown and now includes the original developer Freshmilk, as well as Valo, -Skyline-, ZeroeX and -Tacticalpaper-.

While TTR is still a car-dodging game, you now have both Rally and Intersection modes and to quote Freshmilk himself, “rather than having the same boring old layout every time you play, there are new cars, interchangeable backgrounds and cool music.”

The graphics in this version are a credit to all the GFX artists mentioned above, and with an amazing festive addition in the form of playable Mario Kart characters, you won’t be putting this down until the Christmas holidays are over.

Go check out the things that have changed since the last version when you click “Full Article”!

Here are the things that changed since the last version:

  • 8 new ‘Mario Kart’ characters from modified sprites
  • Orginal ‘Mario Kart’ music
  • New GFX overhaul, made by Oyez and Valo
  • Individual stats for each car
  • Stats editing system
  • 4 New Tracks to race on
  • Added in a boundary system for terrains, so that you cant go off the track.
  • Fixed the Intersection Highscore bug
  • Every car can now run on Intersection
  • Added Driving Animation for rally mode (Directional Buttons)
  • Added Driving Animation for rally mode (Analogue Stick)
  • Added Driving Animation for Intersection mode (Analogue Stick)
  • Completely Finished Intersection Collisions – Intersection is no longer a BETA
  • Hopefully fixed the crash problem
  • Currently works with 1.50 – 2.71, SE-A – SE-C, and possibly 2.80
  • New *.ttr file type

There are still a few bugs in this release which need to be ironed out, but the TTR team has prepared an interesting surprise which will be coming your way soon, so keep checking back for updates. Freshmilk and the rest of the TTR team also took the time to wish all QJ visitors a Merry Christmas, so have fun playing!
