Players who were hoping to perform an act of betrayal against their teammates in Turok (PS3, Xbox 360) will have to come away disappointed. Wired reports that the controversial Team-Kill feature that’s a part of the Grab Bag Achievement/Accomplishment will be removed via a patch that’ll be released on February 5, the same day as the game’s release.

The game itself will have the Grab Bag Achievement intact but, as noted above, the patch will be released online on the same day. The patch changes the nature of the Grab Bag Achievement, removing the stipulation that requires players to kill their teammate in order to pick up the achievement. Instead, players simply have to kill “at least 1creature, 1enemy, 1 teammate, and yourself” during one online match to pick up the reward.

As the Grab Bag accomplishment can only be picked up in an online match, it seems players will be forced to download the patch to work towards winning the reward.

On a related note, the PS3 patch will also add support for rumble controllers and 1080i television displays.
