To say that Propaganda Games‘ Turok (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) has a lot of dinosaurs seems like an understatement. Apparently, quite a number of these prehistoric creatures can be found lurking in the game’s jungles. On that note, we were able to get hold of a list of the different creatures in the game and a video explaining the game mechanics behind the dinosaurs.
Want to see the list and video? You’ll have to check out the full article.
If you’ve played any of the older Turok titles, then you probably already know that dinosaurs play an important role in the series. It looks like Propaganda Games is continuing the tradition with the latest installation of Turok (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC).
Gamers will be happy to know that list of the confirmed creatures in the game have been revealed. In addition, the developers have also released a video explaining the mechanics behind the dinosaurs in Turok.
According to the developers of the game, the dinosaurs in Turok were designed to deliver a sense of fear.
To accomplish this, they took a few liberties with the creature’s anatomy. Take for example, the T-Rex in the game whose size was doubled to exaggerate both the creature’s movements and stance.
All this talk about dinosaurs might have made you curious about what creatures are in the game. Well, here’s a list of all the critters that has been confirmed :
Lurker — A fictional dinosaur created for the game. It is a cross between a dinosaur and a jungle cat in appearance
Juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex
Utahraptor — Apparently there are different types of this dinosaur: male, female and juvenile versions
Miscellaneous giant insects
Miscellaneous sea serpent boss
Other herbivores — Some dinosaurs like these are harmless
Giant carnivorous plants
That’s quite a list of creatures that players will have to watch out for in the game. If it makes you feel better though, the bad guys have as much to fear from these prehistoric monsters as Turok. Then again we think its best if you hear it from the developers themselves. Here’s the video of them talking about this and more. Enjoy!
