Two new videos of Spider-Man: Friend or Foe

Here’s something new from E3 – a new game about the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler that seems to be geared towards appealing new gamers, as well as answering the occasional fan’s “what if?” question of how it’d be like if Spidey teamed up with one of the many awesome bad guys he’s wise-cracked and web-slung into submission. Without further adieu, then, here are two video clips of the newly unveiled Spider-Man: Friend or Foe!

The first video’s pretty much the E3 2007 trailer of the game, and we’re introduced to the concept of Spiderman teaming up with some of his worst enemies – namely Doctor Octopus, The Sandman, Green Goblin, and of course the all-time favorite Venom. It’s to note that things look more cartoony this time around, with none of the realistic web-slinging and swinging from the previous movie games. Here’s hoping they actually got Spidey’s original voice actor from the Amazing SpiderMan animated series, eh?

Next up is the Concept and Characters interview video, where we learn about the game’s origins – that being, the guys behind the first three games wanted to make a title that the young’uns can pick up and play. We also more about the partner system of the game, and how you’re able to switch freely between Spiderman and his current buddy in mid-combat. Very cool, and that lends all sorts of possibilities – maybe even signature team-up attacks unique to every pair?

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe will hit store shelves this fall, and will be available to all consoles and handhelds (PSP, PS3, Xbox 360, DS, Wii). Updates as we get them, in the meantime, enjoy the videos!
