Two quests and a minigame added to RuneScape

With the new year come new features and updates for Jagex’ Runescape. This promises to be an exciting year for adventurers as a minigame and two quests are added to the world.

The Barbarian Outpost’s denizens have opened a new training arena. Barbarian Assault is the new mini game that focuses on honing combat skills and teamwork. There are four main classes of players. Players can chose to be an attacker (if they are feeling extra bloodthirsty), a healer for support, lay traps for enemies, operate the cannons above the arena, or serve as back up for teammates.

The two new quests are called Contact and Cold War. Contact is a high level combat quest that revolves around the people of Sophanem while in Cold War, players will help Larry the zoo-keeper investigate what the suspicious, possibly what evil penguins are up to. There’s also a new Agility course and amusing new animations in Cold War. Players will also get to meet Tarn, the undead professor of all living things (isn’t that ironic?) and to explore the cold tunnels of the Haunted Mine.

This update will also include NPC improvements, updates on the Knowledge Base, Area Guide, QuestHelp, Players’ Gallery, and Postbag from the Hedge. Changes have also been made on the interfaces and menus, improving the look and making them easier to use.
