Uberjack: fMSX 2.5.1 coming out today, ColEm release just around the corner

An MSX emulator for the Sony PSP - Image 1If you’re an emulator user, one of the most exciting bits of news you can get is that of the arrival of a long-awaited update to your favorite emulator. In the case of fMSX fans, emulator developer uberjack has some good news: fMSX 2.5.1 is coming up today. There’s more to it than that, though. “Emulate” what we do by turning to the full article after the jump.

The MSX logo - Image 1It pays to be patient, even if it means waiting a little while for MSX emulators for the Sony PSP to come out. The reason? According to a recent entry in uberjack‘s (also known as Akop Karapetyan) blog, fMSX 2.5.1 is coming out today. Furthermore, Akop also mentioned that a ColEm release “should be around the corner.”


uberjack’s blog entry mentioned that fMSX v2.5.1 should “fix mostly sound issues,
and bring fMSX PSP up to par with the official distribution.” The ColEm release, on the other hand, will mostly be a maintenance release.

That’s not all, though. The developer also appears to be delving into other emulator work – namely that of trying to implement ad hoc gameplay for them. uberjack reports that things are going quite well, so watch this space for more info on this as it becomes available.
