Ubisoft denies Red Steel 2 “confirmation”
Ubisoft has denied reports that they have confirmed a sequel for the Wii launch title Red Steel. According to the company, there has been no official confirmation of Red Steel 2 so far.
Reports of the confirmation surfaced earlier today, with the supposed confirmation happening during the Interactive and Digital Entertainment Festival in Cannes. The sequel was said to include an overhauled sword-fighting system as well as a new online multiplayer feature.
Ubisoft’s denial of the confirmation, however, does not exactly mean that there will be no Red Steel 2. Rumors of the game being in development have been going around since last last year. Hopefully more details will come out at this year’s E3.
