Ubisoft seems to heading off into a bold new direction as the company recently submitted a trademark for a “Play CamCam” gaming device. The new trademark was outlined for use in games software, computer game instruction manuals, entertainment services for providing an online computer game and toy model hobby craft kits.

From the name alone, it sounds like the French company will be trying out a new line of games which will include some sort of motion capture support. The image above, taken from the Trademark Applications and Registrations Retrieval website, breaks down some of the specs that the new trademark will be used for.

The rights to the name was separated into four different trademarks. However, Ubisoft hasn’t revealed any exact plans of what the Play CamCam will be used for. A new rival for the PlayStation Eye perhaps? In any case, we’ll make sure to keep an eye out for any further news regarding it.
