Ubisoft first semester sales and lots more titles

I think this is one of the nicest logos of all time...Ubisoft reported their sales so far. Sales for the first semester of the 2006-2007 financial year: € 172 million (about US$ 215 million). That’s a growth of 13 to 14% compared to the same time since last year.

For the October to December stretch, Ubisoft is expecting a lot more in sales: € 270 million (that means that they expect to bring in over US$ 339 million in just three months). They’ll probably come close to that, if not go over it, because it’s got the Christmas shopping season. Ubisoft’s been good this year.

And they have these releases. Seven of them are for the Wii launch (count them) and two are for the PS3, so Ubisoft’s going to be coming round the corner just as the hype and demand really go wild:

  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox 360, Wii) – a strong brand
  • Rayman Raving Rabbids (Wii) – a strong brand
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas (PS3, Xbox 360, PSP) – a strong brand
  • Red Steel (Wii) – a newly created brand
  • Star Wars Lethal Alliance (DS, PSP) – a strong licensed game
  • Open Season (Wii) (European release: DS, PSP, Xbox 360) – a well-known license
  • Monster 4X4 World Circuit (Wii)
  • Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII (PS3)
  • Far Cry Vengeance (Wii)
  • Prince of Persia Rival Swords (European release: PSP)
  • Asphalt: Urban GT 2 (DS)
  • Catz (DS)
  • Dogs (DS)
  • Horsez (DS)
  • Hamsterz Life (DS)
  • GT Pro Series (Wii)
  • Alexandra Ledermann 7 (European release: DS)
  • Star Trek: Legacy (Xbox360, PC (Europe))
  • Star Trek: Tactical Assault (DS, PSP (Europe))
  • Mind Quizz (PSP)
  • GRAW Premium Edition (Xbox360 (Europe))
