Ubisoft on Splinter Cell: Conviction PS3: There’s always hope
If you’re one of those folks still praying for that time when Splinter Cell: Conviction heads to the PS3 even if it’s a “true Microsoft exclusive“, then fret not and heed the words of Ubisoft Montreal CEO, Yannis Mallat. According to him, “There is always hope.”
It’s cryptic at best, but he does leave a tiny bit of room for hope that that day just might come. In an interview with Videogamer, Mallat said on whether or not Splinter Cell: Conviction might come to the PS3 that, “I can’t predict the future. But it’s good to hear that people who can’t play Splinter Cell are willing to.”
It’s no outright confirmation, but if you wanna look at the glass as half-full, then it certainly is no absolute rejection. This is definitely a complete turn-around from their statements back in June when Ubisoft explicitly stated that they have no plans to have it on other platforms.
Tom Clancy‘s Splinter Cell: Conviction is coming out exclusively on Xbox 360 and PC on February 26, 2010.
