Ubisoft: Rabbids 2 wouldn’t be interesting in other platforms

Ubisoft: Rabbids 2 wouldn't be interesting in other platforms - Image 1 Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is exclusive to Nintendo consoles Wii and DS. While its predecessor only remained a Wii-exclusive for some time before eventually being ported to Xbox 360 and PC platforms, Ubisoft is now saying that Rabbids 2 will remain a Nintendo exclusive.

“We decided to go with the Wii for Rayman and forget all the other consoles, even as ports. They wouldn’t be as interesting without the Wii controls,” said Ubisoft Studio Director Xavier Poix to Nintendo Power during an interview with the mag’s editor Chris Shepperd.

The editor, after seeing the initial build of the game, commented, “One of the big highlights from the first Rayman Raving Rabbids was the up-tempo rail-shooter levels that served as the final challenges of some stages. They’re back in a big way – the new cinematic look to the levels is revolutionary”.

It seems that all Rabbids fans are in for a treat with the sequel. Both versions of Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is expected to come out by Fall 2007.
