Ubisoft signs Naruto for Xbox 360

Ubisoft signed a licensing agreement with VIS Media to develop video games based on the hit anime Naruto for the Xbox 360. Scheduled for release in 2007, Shonen Jump Naruto will be Ubisoft’s first game ever based on a Japanese property. Naruto’s martial arts and ninja skills are perfect for video games, says Ubi, and they really hope to bring out the power and action by building on the story as well. Starting off as a ninja-in-training, Naruto will learn the importance of friendship, teamwork, ingenuity, and other honorable characteristics in order to succeed in the ninja world. Naruto has undoubtedly been popular worldwide, so this game won’t appeal just to the Japanese crowd. It’ll be interesting to see how this one develops seeing as it’s Ubi’s first Japanese project.
