UK is Nintendo WiFi Zone

While America is busy with the Game Developers Conference, Nintendo UK and BT Openzone have rolled out 607 BT Openzone/Nintendo WiFi Connection hotspots to retailers across the UK and Ireland. And if that’s not enough to make our Nintendo-loving English friends happy, 500 of these retailers will offer the chance to download demos of current and upcoming DS titles via Nintendo DS Download Stations attached to their DS units, absolutely free of charge. The WiFi hotspots will go live by summer 2006.

Wi-Fi Connection hotspots and Nintendo DS Download Stations will be located in GAME, Gamestation, HMV, Toys R US, Smyths Toys and other selected independent retailers across the UK and Ireland. The installation of these hotspots will add to the 7,500 hotspots which gamers already have access to across the UK. All made possible by BT Openzone.
