Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune to reach gold status in two weeks
Naughty Dog Co-president Evan Wells posted an article over at the official PlayStation Blog saying that the upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune will reach gold status (the time the game’s final copy is ready for mass production) in two weeks. Prior to this, the latest addition to the video game’s features was 1080i support as requested by fans.
Wells added that aside from wrapping up the production stage, the development team is also helping with the package design and the strategy guide for Uncharted. Likewise, Quality Assurance departments in Europe and Japan are checking for any last bugs that might have escaped previous testing. The president shared:
We’ve also scheduled one last impromptu focus test this weekend in our office so that we can check to make sure that any of the last minute tweaks we’ve made to certain aspects of the game haven’t thrown off any of the previous game balance tuning that we’ve done.
To make your wait a bit more bearable, Evan Wells also divulged that their video director Taylor Kurosaki is preparing a new trailer video that will be released soon. Lastly, Evan Wells said that they are planning to launch Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune simultaneously around the globe in 13 languages.
