Eurogamer is reporting that there will indeed be a 250GB PS3 Slim model, and that it will be arriving in Europe as early as October. Allegedly, it is a part of the three console-plus-game bundles.

For the UK, it’s looking like the game bundles will carry either Assassin’s Creed II, Gran Turismo 5 or Uncharted 2. Bundles will be pegged at UK£ 299.99 (US$ 436.42). If this be the case, then it would appear that only Uncharted 2 will make it to the October bundle launch. Assassin’s Creed II won’t be out till November 20th, while Gran Turismo 5 still has an unknown release date, although it has been said to be out by Q4 of 2009.
Tagging this as rumor, guys. Till there’s official word from Sony or any of the concerned parties, this ain’t gospel truth.
