Unconvincing Unreal Tournament 2007 Gameplay Footage?

In the recently concluded GC 2006, a number of gameplay footage were displayed. Alongside Stranglehold (X360, PS3) is Unreal Tournament 2007. Unlike the other, this upcoming first person shooter from Epic Games was met with a bit of skepticism.

According to witnesses, not much of an improvement can be seen in this new offering. The new models, vehicles and improved graphics did not go unnoticed, of course. But it seemed that more is expected of its gameplay aspects especially now that Unreal Engine 3 was utilized. Sadly, when the action got intense in the footage, we noticed it to be somewhat choppy.

We don’t know if last minute improvements are being done to UT2K7 before its release, but we sure do know Epic does not want to let down their anticipating fans.
