Undertow for XBLA: underwater screens and info
If you liked “10,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, the story of the mythical Atlantis, and “Waterworld” (God forbid), then this new video game for the Xbox Live Arcade from Chair Entertainment is right down your alley.
Undertow is an online shooter set in a post apocalyptic scenario where a deluge has covered the entire world in water. Players get to choose from three warring factions: Atlantians, Nemodians, and Iron Marines. Atlantians, as you would expect are a magical race that use magic and the underwater denizens to fight. Nemodians on the other hand look like and use the technology in Jules Verne’s novel. The Iron Marines are the military types who survived the disaster.
Each faction also sport three character classes, from heavily armed personnel to light and fast swimmers. Undertow features a campaign mode (which can be played cooperatively) and a multiplayer mode that can support up to 16 players. We’re sure there will be more info on this in the coming months as the title is still under development. For the meantime, you can check out the cool underwater screens.
