Universe at War: Earth Assault - Image 1Almost a year after it was announced for the Xbox 360, a free demo for the real-time strategy title Universe at War: Earth Assault has finally become available for all Xbox Live regions.

The 546.57 MB demo will let players take control of the Hierarchy and Novus, two of the game’s three playable factions. The Hierarchy is essentially a traveling band of planetary invaders armed with high-tech walkers. The Novus, on the other hand, is a race of sentient machines whose sole purpose is to destroy the Hierarchy.

This demo might be worth checking out if you’re in the mood for some global warfare. Universe at War: Earth Assault is from Petroglyph Games and Sega.
