Unreal Tournament 3 REALLY coming to Xbox 360?

Unreal Tournament - Image 1After Gears of War broke records, charts, and cultural barriers the world over, it seems that Epic Games is once again readying their big guns for another stab at the Xbox 360.

Over on Destructoid, CyberneticTigerZ says that inside sources have confirmed that the next iteration in the Unreal Tournament series will indeed be coming to Microsoft‘s Xbox 360 console. According to CTZ, “without a shadow of a doubt,” Unreal Tournament 3 “is going to come out on the 360.” He also says that there’s a strong possibility that the game will be hitting store shelves “by Christmas this year.”

In our opinion, this actually does make sense. Even the release date makes sense, as UT3 will boost sales for the Xbox 360 come Christmastime. Also, Gears of War was a huge hit for the Xbox 360 in Japan, and we’re thinking that Microsoft will be banking on UT3 to be just as big a hit. Keep in mind though that official word from both Epic and Microsoft regarding this issue has yet to come out, so keep checking back here on QJ for updates.
