Unreleased footage of canceled PS3 game Eight Days

Eight Days was to be a PS3 exclusive action title sporting a revolutionary cover system. Although the game was canned back in June, its legacy lives on. And by “legacy,” I mean unreleased technical and game footage vids. Check em out inside.

Eight Days was to be a PS3 exclusive action title sporting a revolutionary cover system. The game was well received when it was first announced and many were looking forward to the smooth animation and excellent visuals promised by the demo footage.

Unfortunately, the game got canned on June 4th of this year. SCE President Shuhei Yoshida explained that it was primarily the lack of an online mode that killed Eight Days and not any failure in production.

Perhaps giving a friendly nudge to potential publishers, Jim Jagger, a 3D animator who was working on Eight Days, later released a more complete video with actual real-time footage of the game:
