Update on the PlayStation Am Jam 2007 tour

For those who said yes, Sony has partnered up with Camp Woodward to bring us this year’s PlayStation Am Jam tour, which invites the rising stars for the extreme sports of BMX bikes, skateboards, and inline skates to step up and make their presence known in this ongoing tour.

At every location the tour visits, one contestant from each of the three sports mentioned stands to win a free PSP, as well as a week of free training at Camp Woodward’s East or West campuses.

Athletes who show the most talent in their field by the end of this training week stand to win US$ 5,000, a Sony PlayStation (PS3), and free access to Woodward Camp’s East and West coast facilities for the rest of this year.

The contest began this March 17, and will end on May 5, 2007. Application is open for contestants from 7 to 18 years old, with parents required to sign for skatepark liability waivers for contestants below 18. Registration proper will be done at the 11 skateparks listed below:

  • March 31: Woodward Skatepark of Atlanta, GA.
  • April 4, 5: Woodward Skatepark of Dallas, TX.
  • April 14: VANS “The Block”, Orange, CA.
  • April 17, 18: Skate City Skatepark, Las Vegas, NV.
  • April 21: Woodward Skatepark of Denver, CO.
  • April 25, 26: SCRAP Skatepark, Hoffman Estates, IL.
  • April 28: 4 Season Skatepark Milwaukee, WI.
  • Ma 1, 2: Modern Skatepark of Novi, MI
  • May 5: Rye Airfield, Rye, NH.
