Update: PSP Dungeons v0.1
Charnold, a resident homebrew specialist, just released the first version of his maze-type game aptly titled Dungeons. About a week back, he unveiled his alpha version and now he’s come up with a sequel that carries these improvements:
- Supports textures in .bmp format
- Switches and doors
- Level entry and exit points
- Some weapons
- Description how to create new dungeons
- A windows-version to test the dungeons before loading to the psp
- Should work under firmware 2.6
Dungeons v0.1 is not a complete game. He still needs to add the enemies and some more stuff. For now, all you do is roam around hitting switches to activate the exit. It may sound easy, but after a few go you’ll be more clueless than Alicia. The complete silence gives the game a creepy feel; the occasional ‘opening latch’ sound hits the silence everytime you stumbled upon a switch.
As simple as it is, this game will surely take your for a ride, or should I say, a long walk. The best part is, Charnold is still finalizing this homebrew. So it would be a great for you guys to check it out so you can give him your suggestions. You can send them at this release thread.
