**UPDATE** Super Mario Galaxy hitting retail on November 12
Here’s some more Wii news from E3 2007. Super Mario Galaxy, one of the most-awaited games for Nintendo‘s next gen Wii video game console, has finally been given a release date.
During Nintendo’s E3 media briefing, Nintendo of America President and Chief Operating Officer Reggie Fils-Aime revealed that Super Mario Galaxy will be hitting retail stores on November 12. The announcement was made while footage of a flying Mario dressed like a bumblebee was being shown, apparently.
The Regginator also had the following to say about Super Mario Galaxy:
In one sense, this is the first worthy successor to Super Mario 64, with varying degrees of gravity and the odd sensation of running upside-down on a planet. We believe this sets the new gold standard.
Sounds pretty cool. More updates as we get them.
