*UPDATE* Team AoP ceases development… for now
Originally posted Sept 18, 2007 at 2:34AM
We’ve just received word that new developers Team AoP have temporarily ceased development on all of their projects until further notice. The news comes just after Team M33 released their own statement, saying that it would take longer for them to develop a new custom firmware.
According to a statement by Team AoP, personal problems and testing issues were behind the ceasing of development. However, a recent edit also mentioned that they weren’t completely going to stop. Yanko, team leader for AoP had this to say: “We simply have some reconsidering too (sic) do. lol but were (sic) back to the drawing board to realllly (sic) blow m33 outta the water.”
In any event, we certainly hope both teams the best of luck with their development. After all, we’re all part of the same homebrew community, after all.
We’re not exactly sure yet what made the wind change its course, but apparently, Team AoP will NOT be ceasing development after all. This was the update posted on PSP Crazy only hours after the original announcement that the Team will be going on some form of hiatus after all the controversies surrounding them.
So, they will be continuing work on that custom firmware after all. Again, we don’t know what made them retract their previous announcement this soon, but regardless of that, the news is that they’ve jumped right back on the wagon.
Stay tuned for more updates on this!
Thanks to eazy dawg for the tip!
