*Updated* Try the Jeanne d’Arc trial version
I guess I never learned to read Japanese very well (it’s not a basic skill we Midwestern farmboys learn, you know). Some parts are obvious: Level 5 (that’s the game developer) and Jeanne d’Arc (the title of the game). Joan of Arc was burned at the stake after her trial. But I don’t think that’s what “Jeanne d’Arc trial version” means (LOL).
We’re all stubborn here at QJ, so even if this game isn’t being released in the US yet, some of us QJ writers will do everything we can to get this game. After all, it’s a tactics-RPG. Even if it’s in Japanese, it should be self-explanatory to play, right? We’re guessing it is; look at the screenshots and art… it’s pretty straight-forward gameplay (OK, maybe not).
And the graphics, the classic and beautiful anime style, should make all the linguistic problems worth it.
Maybe Jeanne d’Arc will be released in the US eventually, but we haven’t heard one sure thing about that. We guess if you really want to play it, you better go find a friend who speaks Japanese to translate it for you. And speaking of translating… For the love of all things Japanese, can you help us out and decipher exactly how we can get our hands on the advertised trial version?

The announcement is about collecting “User’s voice” from those who had played “the trial version” at events like TGS, or had played the one distributed as some sort of prizes.” Sigh. So close, yet so (across the Pacific and half a world away) far. Hm, we’re still hoping for a US release.
