US Airways and Xbox 360s don’t mix
If you’ve got plans of flying somewhere and you want to take your Xbox 360 with you, you might want to read this first before packing your console into your bag. One guy checked his Xbox 360 when he flew with US Airways, he was assured it was alright, and when he got home, his console had been opened, and its parts were stuffed into a ziploc.

One guy checked his Xbox 360 when he flew with US Airways, he was assured it was alright, and when he got home, his console had been opened, and its parts were stuffed into a ziploc.
This guy, Adam, writes to The Consumerist:
I was flying out of Logan Airport and I checked my Xbox 360 in my baggage. The agent assured me that there would be no problem with it. When I got home my I found that they had put a little ziploc bag on top of my things, and the bag was filled with tiny metal components that used to be in the Xbox. It’s broken now and they’re telling me tough luck. Any advice?
It seems that security found something in the Xbox 360 that would compromise safety, and US Airways had to take the component out to make sure. It’s not clear what the exact reason was that prompted the ziploc security measure, but that’s one problem you can’t send over to Microsoft for repairs.
