The troops get a well-deserved break as Activision, together with the United Service Organizations (USO), is bringing holiday cheer to the brave men who serve their nation.
Since Veteran’s Day marks the release of Call of Duty: World at War (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS), Activision will host pre-release events at GameStop locations in San Francisco and DC, where fans and servicemen and women can play in real-time.
Activision is also partnering with 98.7FM (KYSR in LA) on a Guitar Hero World Tour promotion, featuring Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii), to support the release of the 98.7 FM Live CD Project. The FM station will host a CD Launch party on the 21st of November at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, where servicemen and women can enter for free and catch the music of Seether, Three Doors Down, OneRepublic, and more!
The troops will be in for a real treat – which is great since they need a break after all the stuff they go through. They’ll be getting all the action they want from Call of Duty: World at War, then others can take a break from all that fighting with some good music. Well done, Activision. *pats Activision on the back*
