US VC finally gets Sin & Punishment, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels

Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels - Image 1North America is doing catch up on its game library for the Virtual Console. This week, the US will finally be getting games that have been released in other regions already. These two games for this week also mark the launch of the new “Import” genre in the VC. From here on out, we can expect more games that have never been originally released here.

First up is Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. It was originally released as Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan and never really got that much exposure over here. Japan’s VC had already gotten this title way back, and just recently Europe did as well (for a limited time only though). This title hails from the NES platform and is available for 600 Wii Points.

Meanwhile, we also finally get our grubby hands on what everyone’s been raving about: Sin & Punishment. Japan got it last month; Europe, just last week. Some of you lucky fans of Japanese imports are sure to be familiar with this Nintendo 64 title. Take a trip back to the third-person quasi-rail shooter that pits you against the nasty horde of Ruffians. As an N64 title, Sin & Punishment costs 1,200 Wii Points.
